Members of Parliament for Bromsgrove and the Villages
  • MP

Bromsgrove Conservative Association is proud to announce Bradley Thomas as the Member of Parliament for the Bromsgrove constituency. Bradley was the leader of Wychavon District Council and worked in the energy sector. Bradley's focus in this vital industry is creating high-skilled, well-paid jobs that will improve our energy security and long-term national prosperity. With a proven track record of dedicated service and exceptional leadership within our party, Bradley brings a wealth of experience and a vision that resonates with the values of the people of Bromsgrove. A Worcestershire native, Bradley has been in public service for the last decade, demonstrating unwavering commitment and passion for serving the community.

As previously the leader of Wychavon District Council in Worcestershire for the last five years, Bradley has earned widespread acclaim for his remarkable achievements and one of the most successful delivery records in the country. Under his leadership, Wychavon District Council has achieved remarkable milestones, including six years of frozen council tax without compromising essential services, the third lowest in the country for a district council. Furthermore, Bradley's commitment to supporting local priorities has seen over £28 million invested in projects that enhance sports and leisure facilities, revitalise town centres, and stimulate the local economy, benefitting numerous businesses and residents.

Bradley's dedication to environmental conservation is commendable, as demonstrated by his initiation of a significant tree-planting project in collaboration with the Heart of England Forest and neighbouring councils. Additionally, he has championed the restoration of 2.4 hectares of habitat and creating 23 new pollinator sites to bolster our insect population. Moreover, his efforts in reducing the Council's carbon emissions by 22% reflect his commitment to safeguarding the environment for future generations.

Bradley has played a pivotal role in supporting the community. He has helped over 3,000 local businesses survive during the challenging times of the pandemic and invested over £600,000 in new business units, fostering growth and employment opportunities for local residents. Bradley's dedication to improving the lives of the most vulnerable in the community is evident through his initiatives, which have helped more than 5,000 people to either stay in their own homes or find accommodation.

Bradley's priorities are clear: delivering well-paid jobs and fostering a thriving business environment, ensuring access to healthcare for all, providing a world-class education for children, revitalising town centres, safeguarding the environment, and promoting policies for a small state. He envisions a Bromsgrove where prosperity flourishes through an empowered private sector while maintaining essential public services. With a focus on sustainable growth and responsible governance, Bradley is committed to creating a thriving, inclusive, and prosperous community for all residents.

Bradley envisions Bromsgrove as a thriving and inclusive community where prosperity, opportunity, and well-being are accessible to all. His plans include attracting further investments and opportunities to the area, supporting local businesses, and empowering the next generation through quality education and vocational training. Bradley's commitment to environmental stewardship will ensure Bromsgrove remains green and sustainable, with initiatives to preserve natural habitats and enhance green spaces for future generations. He is dedicated to fostering a sense of community and social cohesion by supporting local events and neighbourhood watch schemes, ensuring safety and security for all residents. Bradley is eager to listen to the concerns and aspirations of the people of Bromsgrove, working collaboratively to bring about positive change and shape a better future for our constituency.

In Bradley’s words:

“I am humbled to have been selected as the Conservative’s Member of Parliament in the Bromsgrove constituency, in the county we call home. To follow in the footsteps of Sajid Javid is an immense privilege.

Born and raised here in Worcestershire, the prosperity and well-being of Bromsgrove are at the heart of my dedication. I vow to work tirelessly to deliver for the town centre and every village and community.

I am committed to attracting private investment and supporting local entrepreneurs and councillors as we revitalise our high streets creating vibrant communities that thrive and flourish.

Bromsgrove's potential goes beyond its town centre. As the Conservative’s prospective parliamentary candidate, I will focus on delivering economic prosperity throughout the entire constituency, ensuring every community receives the attention and support it deserves.

Addressing pressing concerns like traffic congestion and air pollution is a top priority. If elected, I will work tirelessly to improve transport infrastructure and implement pragmatic solutions, making our area more accessible and environmentally sustainable.

With a significant rural hinterland, I will stand up for farmers and rural communities so that we all have a bright future.

Together, we'll tackle challenges head-on, revitalising our town centres, delivering beautiful housing that doesn’t destroy the environment, and implementing practical traffic solutions, leaving no stone unturned in our pursuit of progress.

My mission is to unite us for a better tomorrow, where everyone benefits in a thriving constituency that embraces both its heritage and progress.

As your Member of Parliament, I will be a strong champion for Bromsgrove, amplifying your voice in Westminster and standing up for residents, their prosperity and our environment."
