Sajid Javid, local MP for Bromsgrove, has written to Bromsgrove District Council Planning to raise the concerns of his constituents over plans to build 1,300 homes off Perryfields Road.

The MP, who has been contacted by many constituents about the proposal, highlighted that:

 “There is significant concern that has been raised with me about the implications such large-scale development would have on local infrastructure, facilities and environment.

Local authorities are aware of the major traffic issues that already present a daily challenge to Bromsgrove commuters.

 It is vital that this single application is considered in the full context of its location”.

 In response to concerns raised that residents were given limited notice of these plans, Mr Javid commented:

 “I believe it important that such a large proposed change to this community must be nothing less than completely transparent and forthcoming”.
