Bromsgrove Christmas Festive Fun 2025.

festive cheer is coming to Bromsgrove Town Centre this November as one of the town’s favourite events returns to the High Street.

On Saturday 22nd November, between 3pm and 5.30pm, residents and visitors alike can enjoy an afternoon of festive fun, entertainment, and a magical lights switch on.

From 3pm, the High Street will be filled with live entertainment and roaming performances. The event promises something for all ages, with performances from local choirs, panto stars, Stourport Brass Band and a visit from Santa himself.

As excitement builds, the Chairman of the Council will welcome the crowds and start a spectacular laser and music show to initiate the countdown just before 5pm, lighting up the sky with colour, energy, and festive magic. To round off the celebrations, there will be a show-stopping choir performance, creating a heartwarming finale to capture the true spirit of Christmas in Bromsgrove.

Following the switch on, Primrose Hospice’s popular Lights of Love ceremony will take place outside Asda at 6pm, including a performance from Stourport Brass Band, providing visitors the opportunity to remember loved ones this festive season.

Visitors can also enjoy Bromsgrove’s regular market traders alongside Bromsgrove Christmas Market, from 10am to 6pm, featuring all-day entertainment including Sounds of Steel, Steve Kaos, and Vintage Class Singers. The Christmas Market, in partnership with Friends of St John, will also be open on Friday November 21 from 9am until 4pm.

Local businesses are also getting involved by decorating shopfronts, offering festive promotions, or hosting small-scale activities to help bring the High Street to life.

The format for the countdown will be slightly different this year which means so that everyone can enjoy the entertainment and switch on from anywhere along the High Street.

Council Leader Cllr Karen May said:

"We made a promise, and we are delivering on that promise. We know how important the Christmas lights switch on is to our community, and while this year’s event looks a little different, we are proud to be bringing festive spirit back to the High Street in a way everyone can enjoy. Bromsgrove will continue to shine brightly this festive season."
