Sajid Javid - Re-Elected as Bromsgrove MP

Sajid Javid was re-elected as the MP for Bromsgrove with an increase of 8% on the result in 2015 taking a staggering 62% of the vote.

Speaking to the Advertiser after his election Mr Javid said: "I am thrilled and honoured to be elected as Bromsgrove'a MP for another five years.

Newly-elected Clent Hills councillor Karen May lands key cabinet role in Worcestershire County Council.

Conservative Cllr Karen May has been appointed as the Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Transformation and Commissioning.

County Council Elections - 4th May 2017

At the Worcestershire County Council Elections held on Thursday 4th May Bromsgrove Conservatives increased their number of Councillors.

The elected councillors were as follows :-

Rita Dent - Bromsgrove Central

Kit Taylor - Bromsgrove East

Karen May - Clent Hills

Mike Webb wins Norton by-election

Mike Webb wins Norton by-election for Conservatives

Mike Webb won the by-election for the seat previously held by the late Cllr Pete Lammas  

Mr Webb won with a 43.2% share of the vote.

Loss of Pete Lammas - District Councillor

Bromsgrove Conservative Association and his many friends are mourning the loss of Pete Lammas, who died on Friday evening after some weeks in hospital following an operation.


Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid joined other Worcestershire MPs in meeting with the Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt, to secure a clear timetable to get the Alexandra Hospital back on track.
