BROMSGROVE MP Sajid Javid is supporting business owners in Bromsgrove to sign up for a new energy bills initiative.

The free-to-join Worcestershire Business Energy Scheme, headed by Compare Energy Bills, was designed to help companies reduce their fixed energy costs and increase profits.

The Bromsgrove initiative follows similar schemes rolled out in Lincolnshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Wiltshire and the West Midlands.

Mr Javid said: "I’m told that this scheme has been operating successfully in other parts of the country and I am pleased that it is now coming to Bromsgrove and Worcestershire."

Paul Brewer, owner of Bromsgrove Logistics - one of the latest firms to sign on to the scheme, said: "We welcome the integrity and professionalism shown by The Worcestershire Business Energy team and thank them for coming to this part of the country and reducing our energy costs."
