Today (2nd September), Leader of the Conservative Party Kemi Badenoch has strengthened her shadow ministerial teams with a series of new appointments.

The changes follow yesterday’s Shadow Cabinet reshuffle as the Conservative Party moves into its next phase.

As part of the reshuffle, Bromsgrove and the Villages' MP, Bradley Thomas has been appointed as Shadow Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Business (Shadow Business Minister) and an Opposition Whip

Today’s appointments reflect both the depth of talent in the parliamentary party and the unity of the Conservative team.

Kemi has appointed additional Shadow Ministers in place of PPS roles, giving members of the new team real responsibility and ownership of their briefs.

Every member of the new intake who is able to serve has now been given a Shadow Ministerial role, giving a new generation of Conservative talent the opportunity to step up, bring forward fresh ideas and play an integral role in taking our case to the country.

Exact portfolios within Shadow Departments will be announced in due course.

Shadow Ministers in the House of Lords will also be confirmed in due course.

Nigel Cutress, Chairman of Bromsgrove and the Villages Conservatives, said:

"The Executive Council of the Bromsgrove and the Villages Conservative Association send congratulations to our hard-working MP Bradley Thomas who has been appointed Shadow Business Minister.

"This promotion reflects his hard-work promoting business and farming in our semi-rural constituency along with his dynamic campaigning on issues here over the last two years."
