“We must save this vital community service” Bradley Thomas MP has said as he launches a petition to save Bromsgrove Post Office.
It follows the announcement from the Post Office that their branch in the TG Jones store on the High Street will close on Saturday, June 6th, 2026.
The Post Office has said the closure is due to “the resignation of our retail partner and the withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use.”
In light of the closure announcement, Bradley has launched a petition to save Bromsgrove Post Office. The local MP believes TG Jones should reverse their decision.
Bradley said:
“This is yet another blow to our High Street.
“The Post Office is a vital community service which is used by local residents and businesses.
“TG Jones have got this wrong. They shouldn’t be kicking out the Post Office, and I urge them to reconsider their decision and allow the Post Office to stay.
“I’m also urging residents to make their voices heard by signing my petition to save Bromsgrove Post Office. We must save this vital community service. Let’s show TG Jones just how wrong their decision is.
“Failing a reversal in this decision, I stand ready to work with the Post Office to find an alternative location in Bromsgrove town centre. We need a Post Office in the town centre and that’s what I’ll be fighting for.”
