Local MP Sajid Javid has announced that his popular Bromsgrove Jobs Fair will be returning for its 5th anniversary on Friday 26th April.
Last year’s record-breaking Fair saw more than 1000 people descend on North Bromsgrove High School to take advantage of thousands of career opportunities being offered by over 70 local, national and international employers.
This year, Sajid will be bringing together an even broader range of local businesses and organisations looking to make their next hire. Visitors will be able to access advice on how to improve their CV, along with tips on how to ace an interview courtesy of Lloyds Bank.
Start-up specialists Blue Orchid will be back to hold their successful Entrepreneurs Hub. The Hub is an opportunity for anyone to pitch an idea for starting their own business and will be offering existing enterprises expert advice aimed at accelerating their growth.
Sajid said: “Over the past year, it’s been a great pleasure to drop into local businesses and meet constituents who found their calling through the Bromsgrove Jobs Fair”.
“I know how intimidating it can be to apply for a job. That’s why my Jobs Fair gives everyone the chance to talk one-on-one with potential employers, and hear about the opportunities available to them first-hand”
“Whether you’re looking for a job that’s full-time, part time, a change of career or an apprenticeship, I would be delighted to see you at the Fair. There really is something for everyone.”
"Finally, I would especially like to thank Grimes Finishings, Hannafin Contractors, Sanctuary Group and BT for being our primary sponsors for the Fair. The Jobs Fair wouldn't be possible without the generous contribution of local organisations who care about our community."
The Jobs Fair will be held from 11:00 – 14:00 at North Bromsgrove High School, and will be free for exhibitors and members of the public to attend.
Sajid and his team are currently looking for exhibitors and sponsors for the event. If you’re interested in becoming a visitor, sponsor or would like more information, please email Sajid on sajid.javid.mp@parliament.uk.
